72. Chukar Partridge (Alectoris chukar)

The Chukar Partridge is most similar in appearance to the Rock Partridge, but there is only a very small overlap in their ranges. The main differences are that the Chukar Partridge has a creamy buff coloured throat compared to the Rock Partridge's paler white/grey, a very diffuse white supercilium whereas the Rock Partridge's is narrow and clearly delineated, and the black rim on the Chukar's forehead does not extend down to enclose the upper mandible as it does in Rock Partridge.
