71. Barbary Partridge (Alectoris barbara)

The Barbary Partridge is found mainly in North Africa and also Gibraltar, Sardinia, Madeira and the Canary Islands. It likes a wide range of habitats including rocky mountain slopes, woodland with clearings and open lowland terrain. Distinguishing it from the other Alectoris partridges are its wide brown collar with white spots, grey throat and cheeks and lack of a black eye stripe.

Barbary Partridge sketch.
Happier with the scan today. Drawing not too bad but I've made the eye too light and it looks like a slightly manic partridge as a result.
